Meredith January 14,2004 Former Herald editor joins Marlceting & Pubiic Relations firm as account executive LaDonna Kay, a 2003 graduate from Meredith College and former Meredith Herald news editor recently joined MMI Associates as an account executive. In this position, Kay will concentrate her efforts in the public relations divi sion and work directly with clients on media activities. Kay, a Wendell native, who currently resides in Knightdale, graduated last spring earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. “I am delighted to wel come LaDonna to our team. Herald Volume XWII, Issue 1 Siiver Siiieid inducts New Members ANGIE KING Silver Shield President Silver Shield - Meredith's honorary leader ship society - recognized eleven outstanding students on Sunday, November 16, 2003. According to the Silver Shield constitution, faculty and current Silver Shield members choose new mem bers "on the basis of con structive leadership, honor and service to the school." Silver Shield recognized those women from the jun ior and senior classes who promoted by example and precept a well-rounded stu dent life, an understanding between faculty and stu dents, a high standard of honor and cooperation in the student body, the ideals and traditions of Meredith College and a strong com mitment to the honor sys tem on campus. New senior inductees included: Karen Bobinyec, Mary Kathryn Hardy, Molly Huffetetler, Paige Kemmerer, Miranda McCall, Ci^'stal McLeod, Randi Miller, and Jenn Schwachenwald. Juniors Neph Bailey, Victoria Bunch and Mary Hemphill were inducted as associate members. They will become full members in the spring and will serve as officers during their senior year.
