The jokes formed an amazing bond with the student audience and brought us all a little closer to our favorite staff mem bers. The only thing that missing was a hog call at the end. Alice In Wonderland was an amazing show enjoyed by everyone present. The play was followed by a tea party hosted by the Meredith Entertainment Association where the stu- tuststonbyJdynTeiviel Alice having Tea with the Mad Hatter and The Rabbit dents had a chance to meet their favorite characters and get cast signatures for their "Alice in Wonderland" books. The anticipation of what the Meredith faculty and staff have in store in four more years has the student body eagerly waiting to return to be a part of Wonderland once again. TAMER Staff Writer MOSCOW, Russia Chechen rebels are the suspected responsible par ties for an explosion in a Russian subway that killed 39 people and injured more than 100 others on Friday. Witnesses were inter viewed and a composite sketch was drawn after the attack. The information for the sketch came from video surveillance of peo ple in the subway before the attack. From the sketch, author ities were able to detain two people and questioned them for nearly three hours on Saturday. A woman is believed to be responsible for the attack. She is seen with an accom plice on the videotape. LONDON, England While hunting for shell fish in a dangerous English bay, 19-people were killed. The boys were killed by the tides and freezing water. The death toll was said to be seventeen men and two women. Only two Europeans and fourteen Chinese nationals to survived the incident at the Morecambe Bay in Lancashire. Lancashire Deputy Chief Constable Julia Hodson said that a coroner would find the deaths to be suspicious. BUNIA, Congo A UN boat convoy was attacked on its way to look into a massacre in north eastern Ituri. The UN suf fered no casualties as a result of the attack. However, they were forced to cancel the mission. Specifically, the convoy was investigating human rights abuses that may have been responsible for die deaths of 100 people on a boat on the hamlet. GOBU, Sri Lanka The president of Sri Lanka. Chandrika Kumaratunga, dissolved the Parliament as of Saturday at midnight. New elections will be held on April 2, and the new Parliament will meet on April 23 for the first time. The senior aid to the president, Japadasa Peiris, did not cite the President's reasons for dissolving the Parliament. Rather, Peiris said that she would soon address the county. INDONESIA The seventh earthquake to hit the Papua province struck on Saturday in the eastern part. The quake meas ured 7.1 on the Richter scale. As of yet, no casu alties have been report ed. However, a earthquake on Friday killed nearly 24 people. The scale rating of Saturday's quake leads authorities to surmise that a number of casualties could accumulate.
