Gov ernor, Mrs. Perdue was a member of both houses of the North CaroHna General Assembly. Education: Has a 6 point plan for preparing students from preschool-grad- uation. Would like to give scholarships to exceptional students. Doesn’t support school vouchers. Environment: Would like to create a new energy policy that makes positive use of North Carolina’s biotech industry. Would also like to ban produc tion of new coal plants and explore new energy alternatives. Does support offshore drilling. Health Care: Would like to provide all NC citizens with preventative health care. Plans to make sure that healthcare companies keep rates affordable.
