Dr. Kelly Roberts and Michelle Cox headed up the operation to raise money for the team going to Belize and invited children from all over Raleigh, North Carolina to come and enjoy the experience. Students led literacy and math centers, crafts, and snack time, all around different books written by Dr. Seuss, al lowing students to jump literally from story to story. From' The Cat in the Hat to Oh, The Places You’ll Go! to Green Eggs and Ham, children from ages three to twelve enjoyed a world entirely different from their ovm. The night was a sensation. Meredith students had just as much fun dress ing up and acting out Dr. Seuss books as the children had experiencing all there was to offer. All the proceeds raised from this event went to the team of Meredith students and faculty going to Belize and will be used to help build a playground. All who took part in bringing Dr. Seuss’ world to life look forward to next year, trusting the event will be an even greater success.
