As the preview hints “the land you know, the story you don’t.” Is it time for you to find out? Dear Gigi, I have recently broken up with my boyfriend of two months. I just decided that we weren’t right to be in a relationship but that we could still be friends. He originally said that he would be willing to try a friendship. Now he says that he doesn’t feel that he can just be friends, but I honestly know that we will never be romantically compatible. I don’t want tension between us, but I also don’t want to lead him on. Help! It’s a great thought to try to be friends after a relationship, but you need to realize that most people would have some issues with that. It’s hard to go from a relationship to a friendship without a little tension. You need to accept the fact that he may be a person who cannot be just friends with you. You need to respect this and attempt to cut ties with him regardless of whether or not you feel that a friendship could continue. It’s unfair to continue commu nication when he has been honest with you regarding his feelings. Who knows- he may decide he can be friends a few months down the road, but for now, you need to give him space to decide. Good luck! Gigi
