FACT SHEET As a contract blue jean manufacturer, W & J RIVES, INC. produces garments for the better blue jean manufacturers. The nature of our business is, in the industry jargon, a "cut, make & trim" operation. This means that using our customer's piece goods, patterns and specifi cations, we provide the labor and trim and produce a finished product. The key to our success is the ability to provide a top quality garment at a competive price with in a reasonable delivery time. We presently employ over 300 people working a 40 hour, 4^2 day, work week and ship 30,000 to 36,000 pair of jeans a week. In an effort to enhance our reputation in the market place, we have taken the position of being a full service manufacturing contractor, catering to the upper—end designer jean or better jean manufacturers who, primarily, do not own their own factories. In many cases, we purchase fabric as well as supply trim. This approach has been so successful that it has been necessary to expand, and we are currently located in a new 75,000 sq. ft. building at 1040 E. Springfield Road, High Point, N. C. It is our hope to build the business to eventually employee 400 people at this location.
