There will be exhibits from different countries and a fashion show, featuring apparel from these countries, narrated by nrso Gilbert Potter, An a la carte supper menu of American fare will be available. The International Affairs Department of the Club, Mrs, Edward Piver, Chairman, is sponsoring this event. Donations - qJloOO, An invitation is extended by the Beaufort Historical Association to an Open House at the Restoration Grounds (Headquarters, the Josiah Bell House), Turner St,, Beaufort on December 28 from 2-5 P«m, and December 29 from 10 to 4 o’clock. Special Christmas door decorations will be on display. It will be possible to register for the awarding of a kneeling bench donated to the Association by the Old North Church, Boston, Ligh refreshments will be served, A nostalgic evening is promised when the Old Christmas celebration is held the evening of January 6 in downtoi-'/n Beaufort, This even t is spon sored by the Carteret Historical Research Assoc,, Beaufort Garden Club, Morehead City Women's Club, Girl Schouts of Beaufort, and the Beaufort Women's Club,There will be an evening flag ceremony by the Girl Scouts, the burning of the Yule Log, Christmas music, and other festivities. Old Christmas^has been^a tradition al Carteret County Celebration which many older residents still observe, CoHoRoA, recognizes this heritage and hopes to revitalize many of these old traditions. Betty and Carl Hammon are home from their European wanderings, still excited about their trip, but happy to be back in Pine Knoll Shores again. They have been looking at their slides of^the Alhambra with its wonderful lace-like decorations, its pools, and its beautiful gardens. And at the Alhambra, sitting on a garden wall, were two American girls, both from North Carolina. One came from Chapel Hill, The other mew where Pine Knoll Shores is because her parents own a lot here and get the Shore Line, Who would think that out of the hundreds of visitors at the Alhambra, four from North Carolina would be looking at the same garden at. the same moment? Crowds? — there were ^9'^ tourists from Texas there and many others, but not too many Ji-ngerJng in the garden to enjoy the beauty of the Moorish palace, Bogue Banks Country Club, Inc, is the new name of the formerly known Pine Knoll Shores Golf and Country Club which means the Members now own and operate the Club. The Membership Committee at the present time in^ conducting a Membership drive. Those members^who failed to send in their quarterly dues are now invited to come back in good standing by paying ^60,00 for this fourth quarter dues. * This is your opportunity to become a CHARTER MEMBER of the new BBCC, There are several types of Memberships available for both old and new members. Or call^Mrs, Myrtle Wertz, Membership Chairman, at 726-5093« Bob Ames, Chairman of Greens & Ground Committee announces that the golf course is in better condition now than it has been for many months. The surrounding club property, however, requires much clearing of weeds and brush. Many have ^volunteered and more are needed to help with this project. Won t you join Bob and his group any Tuesday or Thursday at 9:00 AM for 2 or 3 hours of work. Tennis Courts are now open for Pall and Winter play,^(Non-Members, S2,50 per hour per court.) All players are asked to sign in and obtain key at the Pro Shop, Every Tuesday is Ladies Day for both the golfers and Bridge Group, The regular monthly business meeting is held on the first Tuesday of each month following coffee at 9:00 AM at which time prizes are awarded for the previous month's play, BINGO is held on the first Tuesday of ^very month at 8:00 PM, All are welcome to come and bring guests, MEMBERSHIP MEETING - January 16, 1976 - 8:00 PM at the Clubhouse, This is a very important meeting - Election of officers and directors.
