2018 Pine Knoll Shores Fishing Tournament A stiff southwest wind and the distraction of continuing cleanup from Hurricane Florence on the day of the fishing tournament resulted In a smaller turnout that expected, but those who came out for the weigh-ln at McNeill Park enjoyed a good time. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to Bill Steenland for organizing this event.—P/7otos by Bill Flexman Art Chleborowicz, left, and Art Southard with competing flounder Allen McMillen with his winning 1 lb., 11 oz. gray trout, catches. Mr. Southard’s fish weighed in just one ounce heavier at 2 lbs., 6 oz. to win the category, and Mr. Chleborowicz took the blue fish trophy with his 14 oz. catch. Ten-year-old Sailor Koltun with his winning spot catch. 2018 Halloween in Pine Knoll Shores Families gathered at Brock Basin for the traditional Halloween pot luck before heading out to the neighborhood for some trick or treating.
