What’s Up With PARC?

Please be on the lookout for the Kayak for the Warriors Angel Tree, coming
on November 11. Vetted warrior families in need of a little Christmas cheer will
be available for adoption. Please see “PKS Angel Tree Project” in this issue of The
Shoreline for full details.
Please also see “PKS 12th Annual Turkey Trot” in this issue for details on
our Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot. There are some big changes this year,
including online registration, a true 5K course and a two-mHe course for baby
strollers and fur babies.
Future Parks and Recreation Committee (PARC)-sponsored events include
the Christmas flotilla on Saturday, November 30, and the Christmas parade,
slated for December 14. Boaters interested in participating in the flotilla can
preregister by contacting Sheila Bupp at 247-2474, ext. 10, at the fire station or
John Clarke at jclarke52@gmail.com. Please register on or before November 27.

Don’t forget that Arts for Kids is still welcoming youngsters the second
Saturday of each month. Please call Suzanne Carmel at 919-880-1604 for more
information.
Your Parks and Recreation Committee welcomes suggestions for activities
that will get people out, moving and involved. We are
soliciting ideas for events of interest to residents and
property owners.
