PIKSCO Happenings By Erica Reed Happy New Year From the BHA • > • . ' “fi- i’'..cc Happy New Year from your PIKSCO board. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. As we enter into 2021, we will focus on getting our parks spruced up. As soon as the weather starts to warm up, we will start our spring cleanup and will need members’ help working in our beautiful parks. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Erica Reed at piksco@gmail.com. As a reminder, our meetings are the third Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. We are currently meeting at McNeill Park, but make sure to check the calendar on our website at piksco.com for updates. Did you know members in good standing with PIKSCO can reserve the pavilion at McNeill or Garner parks for free for your event? Check the calendar on the website for availability or contact Erica Reed at piksco@gmail.com for more information and to fill out a park use permit form. We are always looking for residents who would like to serve and are willing to volunteer a few hours of their time and expertise. We need your help to keep PIKSCO parks looking good and to suggest changes that we can make to improve our life here in paradise. PIKSCO contact. For questions, concerns, to express a willingness to volunteer or to provide feedback, contact Erica Reed by voice or text at 252-247-4818, email at piksco@gmail.com, through our website at piksco.com or by mail at P.O. Box 366, Atlantic Beach NC 28512. Happy New Year from all of us at the Beaufort Historic Site. We wish we had a crystal ball to know what 2021 holds, but we do know it will be full of the same generosity, kindness and benevolent community as last year. If times were normal, we would be sharing our yearly calendar and promoting the January membership meeting and membership drive as well as our famous membership Valentine Party. While we work on new, fun and safe ways to bring our events to you, we invite you to come visit our grounds, which are always open for spending time with loved ones, working out with friends, playing with your pets and more. We offer our historic building tours from Monday through Saturday several times a day. The Mattie King Davis Art Gallery, as well as the Old Beaufort Shop, are open for you to peruse local art and unique gifts. A portion of proceeds benefits the many education and preservation programs that take place here every year. As we set foot into the New Year, be sure to stay up to date by checking our website at beauforthistoricsite.org, by following us @thebeauforthistoricsite on Instagram and Facebook, or even calling us at 252-728-5225. You will be able to find the most recent information online regarding our current events and future ones. We also invite you to learn more about the Beaufort Historic Site and the Beaufort Historical Association. We are always happy to welcome new members as well as new volunteers to the site. More information on volunteering or becoming a member of our nonprofit can be found on our website. If you need more details than you find there, call us or visit the site at 130 Turner Street in Beaufort. We wish everyone a safe and happy New Year and look forward to seeing you around the site. ... ; . NEW now available on our newly designed website!
