PKS Officer Recognized

In December, Detective Sergeant Cory Bishop received a letter of apprecia
tion and an award from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for his work
investigating and prosecuting child exploitation. The award was presented by HSI
Resident Agent in Charge Mike Ortiz.
In addition to his duties as a Detective Sergeant and Community Resource Of
ficer in Pine Knoll Shores, Sgt. Bishop has been a sworn Task Force Officer with
Homeland Security Investigations since 2019 and has been primarily tasked with
the investigation of child exploitation throughout Eastern North Carolina. He
also works on an Internet

organizations is critically
