Our Kayak for the Warriors

participate in this worthwhile
fundraiser to support our
wounded warriors.

Fine Knott Shores. WC

person. The silent auction, which is online, will close that evening. The live
auction has some great finds. You may peruse the auction items by going to

you may continue bidding on the silent auction items.

will go off on Saturday, June 3, at 10 a.m. at Garner Park. We plan a barbecue
lunch and medal ceremony. To register online, go to runtheeast.com and search
for Kayak for the Warriors. The registration deadline is June 2. The cost is $50 for
a single paddler and $100 for tandem. This includes a t-shirt and lunch. The race
will be electronically timed. The Warrior Trophy will be awarded to the paddler or
paddler team that brings in the most donations.
Tipsy Turtle Kick-Off Event—Come out to Tipsy Turtle on the Atlantic Beach
Causeway on Thursday, June 8 (the night before the golf tournament), from
4 to 8 p.m. to enjoy music and free food to kick off our K4TW golf tournament.
Thanks to owner John Thompson for offering to do this for us. Our very own
Devan Barbour will be spinning the tunes. Door prizes and a 50/50 raffle will be
available.
Shoreline Anniversary
The town of Pine Knoll Shores isn’t the
only thing turning 50 around here. Thanks
to a suggestion from early residents Betty
Hammon and Mary Doll that a town publication
was needed, “The Pine Knoll Shore-Line” newsletter was born in May 1973.
Congratulations and thanks go to the many involved in helping that little
newsletter become The Shoreline we know today. Watch next month’s issue as the
History Committee shares exactly how today’s newspaper came into existence.
Reentry Pass Reminder
Pine Knoll Shores reentry passes are issued from December 1 through May 31
only. No passes will be issued during hurricane season, except in the case of new
property owners or new residents. New owners may acquire a permit throughout
the entire year within 30 days of purchase of their property. If you rent or lease a
property, you should contact the property owner.
The town provides one complimentary permit to property owners. A
replacement or an additional permit may be purchased for $25.
Existing homeowners who need a replacement or an additional permit must:
• Complete a Reentry Permit Request Form (available in the foyer of the
public safety building, at townofpks.com/Resources/Police or by emailing
