November 2023 New Town Manager Julie Anderson Julie Anderson, who was selected to be the next town manager by the Pine Knoll Shores Board of Commissioners at its October 11 meeting, has been with the town for 16 years and has been front and center through natural disasters; a major financial crisis in 2008; scores of major decisions related to personnel, budgets and projects; and has the respect of leaders inside and outside the town. This photo was taken two months following Hurricane Florence in 2018. Julie stayed in town hall for 10 days, sending out messages and publishing videos of the damage to the town and helping plan and put into action our recovery plan. People from throughout the state commended her for her communications. These flowers were sent by a property owner thanking her for her actions before and after the storm. The effective date of Julie’s transition to town manager is November 1, 2023, and she will be positioned to lead the staff heading into the New Year. —Photo by Brian Kramer PINE KNOLL SHORES GARDEN CLUB Invites You To A Veterans Day Tribute Blue Star Memorial Join us to honor those who defend our freedom- past, present and future Saturday, November 11,4 p.m. at the corner of Highway 58 and Pine Knoll Boulevard Reception Follows at Town Hall In the event of inclement weather, tribute will be at town hall.
