TOVM TO PURSUE Mayor V/ayne Cleveland announced at the Septem ber 2 meeting of the Board of Commissioners MAILING ADDRESS that he has been in communication with local postal officials with respect to changing the mailing address for residents to Pine Knoll Shores, rather than the present Morehead City rural route address. Under this pro-^ posal, he said, our mail would continue to be moved through the Morehead City post office, as the present Zip Code 2^557, would remain in use. Explicit in any such change would be a Pine Knoll Shores address listing in the International Postal Direc- tory to the end that all mailings would reach the addressee here. Ed Crumley has accepted the task of spearheading the effort and will report back to the Board with respect to his progress. Mayor Cleveland also reported that he and other members of the Board, along with several motel and restaurant owners, had attended a meeting of the County ABC Board to request that a proposed ABC store be located in Pine Knoll Shores. He pointed out that since most of the motels along Salter Path Road west of Atlantic Beach are located in Fine Knoll Shores the tovm should be given priority consideration.
