PUBLIC I^SBTING The ^Planning Board of P:i.ne Knoll Shores wishes to thank all
citizens who took time to answer the recent CAM Land Use
FOR CAMA SmWY survey questionnaire. Tabulations are now being made of your
. replies. The results of the survey vdll be presented at a
Public Meeting to be held at the Towi Hall Wednesday, January 23, at 7:30
p.m., at^which time preliminary conclusions will be presented. The Board
will be interested in comments at the meeting from property omers to help
^ide^them in the revision of the long range'land use plans for the Tov;n.
All citizens are ui^ed to attend.
BOARD Ef^IOYS L.AMD USE The Boord of Commissioners of Pine Knoll Shores announced
that the Planning Board has employed Paul Foster as
UPDATE DIRECTOR director of the Update Land Use Plan. I^'Ir Foster said
he v;as impressed by the thorough efforts the Planning
Bo^d put into the distribution and the anal^/zing of the hundreds of question-
nairs seelang input into land use, adhering to the original land use plan,
seeking to control growth in the town and maintaining the tovjn*s zoning ordinances.
The Board also heard a report from Robert Hope, bui.lding inspector, v/hich said
that as^of the end of November, 1930, there 1.L residential structures, six
commercial (condominium) buildings and seven miscellaneous buildings under con
struction in K.ne Knoll Shores.
The Board also took the occasion to remind citizens of the town that no profess
ional or commercial business may be conducted from a private residence when
certain factors exist. Among these is when any display of merchandise is visible
xrom the street, when any advertising sign or display is used on the premises,
or v;hen special parld.ng facilities are required. Such activities are*illegal,
the Board said, and constitute a nuisance.
Furthermore, the Board said, it vjished to remind citizens that the practice of
parking vehicles, including boat and other trailers, for longer than three days
after the tovdng unit has been disconnected, and the storing of such vehicles,
not incident to the use and operation of the vehicle, is specifically prohibited.
The random parking of such vehicles, the Board said, presents an msightly
appearance to the towi, creates a nuisance, and will result in a summons being
issued.
