QUR Taylor Renee Riley, youngest resident of Pine Knoll Shores was born on December 2 at 1:09 PM, v/eighing in at 7 lbs. 2-|- ozs. Her parents NEIGHBORS are Kim and Gerald Michael Riley of 122 Mimosa Drive. Her grand parents are Mrs. Odell Flynn (Martha) and I4r. and Mrs. Gerald Addison Riley, of Durham. Mairbha said, "Taylor was my mother’s name and Renee was Kim*s best friend’s name. She has very dark eyes and looks like Odell." Lott of 106 Flickory Court are the proud parents of Georgette Carrow born November 30, at 2:30 Al^i, and weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lott of Knollwood Banks and Mrs. Larry Jones of Kinston are the grand parents. George and Evon moved to Pine I^noll Shores in September 1979* He grew up in Atlantic Beach. Now he is Construction Superintendant for Miller Construction Company of Wilmington. Evon had been a Superior Court reporter for 11 years, now is on leave of absence. Even’s maiden name was Carrovj. Dorothy and Bob Herbst moved from Armonk, N. Y., to 103 Birch Court in August. He had been with American Gan Company for years, retiring as a Systems Consultant. He knew Brad vSmith and Scott Cuthi'll, v;ho also worked with American Can. Dorothy worked as a secretary to the director of Jennie Clarkson Home, a home for girls in Valhalla. Bob likes fixing things around the house, fishing, bowling, golf aai.d is interested in EMT. Dorothy sews, does needlework, and bowls. They visited the Cuthills several times, bought their lot on their first visit. They have five children. A married daughter, and the younger son, a policeman, live in .taonk. The older son has ti^ro children and lives in Tallahasee. Another daughter is a physical education in Hartsdale, and the third daughter is at College of Boca Raton, Florida. Arline and Troy P. Rhodes moved to 17? Oakleaf from Gape May, N.J., where they had lived for 9 years. Trc;,' is a Chief Warrant Officer and engineer aboard the USCGG Conifer based at Ft. Macon. His hobby is working on his cars. Both are North Carolinians. Arline likes bov/ling, vjorking in ceramics and seidng. I'Jhen they learned they were being transferred here, the^^ went house hunting, and thus found Pine Knoll Shores. They have a farm in VJallace, N.C., which was originally Arline’s home. Their eldest son vjorks as an engineer for R. J. Reynolds, in VJinston-Salern. The £'.econd son is a seaman with Texaco at Port Arthur, Texas.
