However, he said. GARDEN CLUB TO The Garden Club’s December meeting was enhanced by the most attractive candle-lighted and elaborately BUY CREPE MYRTLES decorated Christmas tables at the Town Hall. The hospitality committee in charge of this special treat included Mary Rowan, who made the table arrangements, Becky Moore, Lin Johnson, Betty Hickey and Bobby Ready. The tables held a wide assortment of especially tasty Christmas goodies. During the brief business meeting Helen Granger reported the projects committee had purchased 100 crepe myrtle bushes, which will be sold to members and other towns people after the f-irst of the year. The shrubs average three to four feet in height and will sell for not more than $3«50 each. The club is encouraging the purchase of these shrubs for yard use or donation to the Town Hall area and other public property. Persons interested in purchasing these shrubs should call Helen Granger at 726-82^5 after the first of the new year. The club also took notice of the landscaping improvements to the Town Hall property, in which virtually every club member — along with some husbands — participated under the direction of Erma Johnson. Some 100 azalea bushes and other shrubbery and more than 300 Spring bulbs were planted, which should make a most attractive display this coming Spring. Vern Wallace, luminaria chairman, reminds everyone that they should contact her at 72o-7^90, or Vivian Macdonald at 726-6727 for their supply of bags and candles for this Christmas Eve display. The program for this Christmas meeting was a sharing of holiday ideas by members, which included table arrangements, tree ornaments, wreaths, bells, stockings and other original gifts and decorations.
