Mayor Ken Haller joined Ck>vemor Jim Hunt in declaring June 3~'9 sls Garden Week in
N. C* and the town of Pine Knoll Shores. All garden clubbers and anyone with a feeling
for the beauty that flowers add to our state are encouraged to wear a flower during that
week * even if you pin it to your bathing suit.
Mrs. O'Keefe expressed special thanks to Lola Council and her comnittee who planned,
decorated, and served the birthday party. Others on tiie conmittee were Maxine Moeller,
Helen Olsen, Betty Hickey, and Eleanor Engelmann, along with husbands Jim Council, Bd
Moeller, Bd Olsen and George Hickey.
