This increase is in part due to the many summer visitors to the various motels in town who have been advised about our excellent Rescue Squad. Commissioner Hasulak has received approval for an emergency access to the beach at the Holiday Inn location. The Mayor also alerted residents to a raccoon distemper problem. He advises caution in dealing with these animals and recommends against feeding them as the disease is highly contagious and could affect household pets.
