Mr. Gallo also addressed the issue of Town per sonnel requesting maternity leave. An employee desiring to take a leave of absence from work for reasons caused by or contributed to by pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, childbirth or recovery therefrom shall apply in writing to the supervisor stating the nature of the condition, the anticipated dates and duration of the requested leave and the types of leave requested. As to reinstatement, the employee can look forward to being given a position with the Town. This position may or may not be the same as the position the employee vacated when ^e went on maternity leave. She will, however, retain her seniority and pay when she returns to work. Mayor Hanan referred to the Town Attorney what is the best method of dealing with cars being parked in the Wachovia Benk on weekends for beach access. Signs which were posted were removed. The Attorney is checking the ramifications of towing by police. The Mayor also announced that a demonstration of the beach water cannon method by our Fire Department will be held Friday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. at PKSKO at the end of Juniper. The Town of Pine Knoll Shores and Bogue Banks Country Club are planning on honoring the men involved with the Mid-East conflict, and would like the names of anyone from or related to residents of Pine Knoll Shores. SPECIAL MEETING - BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS DRAINAGE RE-EVALUATION The Board of Commissioners held a special meeting on May 31, 1991 to review a special report with Col. Paul Dennison, Von Oesen and Associates for the re-evaluation of alternatives of the emergecy stormwater runoff control plan. Col. Dennison stated that at request of the Town his firm had taken another look at the problem area.
