Sincerely, In case you are not aware, Vision Cable has the cable exclusive in Pine Knoll Shores. Vision Cable has a proposal for the renewal of the Pine Knoll Shore Franchise for an additional period of 15 vears! Please give any input to your Town Commissioners that you have in regard to Vision Cable's: service, improvements, other services you might want, complaints. This will be helpful in the final negotiations. Mary Kanhya, Mayor RECYCLEI RECYCLE! PKS has received another bin for recycling plastic containers with a #1 or #2 imprinted on the bottom. It has been placed in the recycling area behind Town Hall. The dumpster will have two bins, one for each type of plastic. Soda Pop Type 1 Plastic (Pet), and milk and water containers Type 2 Plastic (HOPE). These plastic bottles and containers should be rinsed out and crushed before depositing them in the appropriate bin. No oil or antifreeze containers will be accepted. Welcome: The Town of Pine Knoll Shores welcomes Pastor Patrick and Diana Williams who have recently moved to 150 Mimosa Boulevard. Pastor Williams is the newly elected Pastor of Bogue Banks Baptist Church, Atlantic Beach. ine Knoll Shores Commissioner Gallo reports that despite a drastic decrease in interest income from investments the year ended with approximately $4,000 to the good. According to Commissioner Gallo the town has collected all but $660 in taxes. This represents a collection rate of more than 99%! A request made by PKS for Bike Paths/Trail for Route 58 will be included in the project for the improvement plan for Carteret County. According to DOT Board member, Ken Newsom, this project is currently scheduled for 1995.
