GARDEN CLUB ANNUAL SPRING PLANT SALE 4" Potted Geraniums, begonias, caladiums, impatiens 6" Potted Geraniums Call to Order Lois Jean O'Keefe 247-4100 Judy Polt - 240-3425 Ruth Gibson - 247-5199 Pick up orders at Town Hall on Friday, April 16 10:00AM -12:00 NOON The PInc Knoll Shores Garden Club February 1993 A Valentine theme set the tone for the February 10th meeting. Hazel Byrd's two outstanding flower arrangements showed unusual creativity. A full blown pink peony provided the focus of the first arrangement, surrounded by bursting camelia buds, red valentine hearts, podocarpus and shiny camelia leaves. The second floral arrangement was really unicjue insofar as the flowers themselves were created from Bermuda onions cut radically all around so that they opened up like awakening blooms. Pink or red dyes will enhance the appearance. Fatsia, podocarpus, red hearts and lotus leaves provided the background. Refreshment Hostesses Ann Hitch, Marge Kalning, Hazel Byrd, and Maggie Johnson whipped up a sumptious spread of pineapple wedges, raspberry cookies, mini cranberry muffins, drop lemon rounds, pecan balls and Dijon cream cheese and chive triangles. President Marge Sellers made the happy announcement that Lois Jean O'Keefe has been elected President of the Seashore Council of Garden Clubs for 1993 -94. To celebrate Arbor Day on March 19th it was decided that the Garden Club will plant a tree in the memory of Past President, Vern Wallace. Jason Veasey of Jason's French Market Grille spoke on "Cooking With Herbs." The Garden Club would like to extend a belated thank you to our hostesses for January, Vi Dclbalso, Pat Flinn, Dot Belding, and Ket Blissert who provided a delectable spread of fruit kabobs, honey buns, Cheddar cookies and sandwich triangles.
