JUNE 1993 Volume 5 Issue© D C ONE YEARI EDITOR'S CORNER We personally wish to thank the EMS Rescue Squad for the wonderful care they gave Jim and I recently. Jim woke me at 2:30am Mother's Day morning with speech problems, I called the EMS and they were there so prompdy, I didn't have time to get upset, the whole group was organized, professional and thorough. I was impressed with the sense of purpose they all presented. With their prompt action, Jim has almost recovered from his stroke. I also need to thank the PKS Police, their calmness and professionalism was a needed port in the storm. We are lucky to have these people with us here in Pine Knoll Shores, a real paradise. We have been your editors now for one year. We have enjoyed it and hope to continue. Your comments and input are important. Let us hear from you. Bob and Barbara relocated from Massapequa, Long Island, New York, in January 1993 and have been living in a condo awaiting the completion of their home ever since. They moved in the first of May and now the fun of unpacking, arranging furniture and meeting their new neighbors awaits them. Bob has already started to build shelves in the garage and busily planning his shop. Bob retired in 1990 form Photo circuits on Long Island, the same year that his twin brother, Bill, moved to Pine Knoll Shores. After spending two months on the beach in Pine Knoll Shores last year, both Bob and Barbara were hooked; they bought property, drew up plans, the rest is history. The hardest part of the move was leaving their two daughters and families but their new home has plenty of room for guests and their door is always open. Bob and Barbara are busy, active people and we welcome them to our community. Judy Poit
