♦ The Shoreline ♦ New Neighbors (cont.) Island, 1 in California, 1 in Texas and I in Hickory, NC. Along widi these , they have 22 grandchildren. Three years' ago, they were searching for a retirement area and had come to Fairfield Harbor outside New^ Bern. While having dinner that weekend at the Harvey House, they spoke with a couple at the next table who said "Heavens, look at Pine Knoll Shores - the only place," so Anne and Dick drove a litde farther to PKS and said, "Yes, diis is the place." What Anne and Dick would like to do is to re-meet these folks who spoke to them at the Harvey House and say, "Thank-you." These people were staying in New Bern for the weekend on their boat and were from Pine Knoll Shores. If you remember this, please call Anne. Anne and Dick always pictured someday when they retired, to live in a house on the beach with a golf course in the backyard. They surely got their wish. Dick loves to golf, fish and go to the VPW. He also serves on our volunteer fire department. Anne enjoys golf and the beach, both winter and summer. BLF 105 Heron Lane, Beacon's Reach, is the newly built home of Nancy and Don Forster, who moved here in May from Long Island. They originally retired to the Adirondacks but got tired of the hard winters. They visited Nancy's father, who has a condo in Beacon's Reach and fell in love with the area. They both worked for Suffolk County Water Authority where Don was a supervisor and Nancy was the Suffolk County Bill Collector. They have 3 sons and 1 daughter and 13 grandchildren, three of whom live on Long Island and one in upstate New York. They both enjoy fishing. Flea Markets and garage sales. They also plan to do more fishing and bowling. BLF Mrs. Helen Golizoski lives at 188 Loblolly. She moved to Pine Knoll Shores June 13, 1992 from Santee, CA, 8 miles east of San Diego. She was originally from Montanna, then Las Vegas, Nevada, onward to California and finally has come to rest in Pine Knoll Shores. Helen was widowed in 1991 and her daughter Jo Ann, who is married to one of our town commissioners, Lee Blanchard, decided they'd like her to live near them. Helen was a nurse from 1929 until 1972. She has one daughter, Jo Ann, in Pine Knoll Shores, and one son, Eugene, in San Diego, CA. She has 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She enjoys crocheting and loves it here, except for the bugs!
