Shorclfnel ShorcKnel Shorellnel From The Mayor Thank You I want to thank everyone in Pine Knoll Shores for permitting me to have the privilege of serving you for two years. I enjoyed every moment and did not mind making Pine Knoll Shores my number one priority. Everyone was always so willing to help and where ever I met you, on the beach, riding a bicycle, walking, playing golf, tennis or at social functions, you were always so pleasant and kind to me. I thank you for this - not many mayors can relate to this type of treatment. May God bless all of you and may God continue to guide our new mayor to help keep the quality of life we wll dream of having in Pine Knoll Shores. Mary I. Kanyha Garden Club The Pine Knoll Shores Garden Club will meet January 12th at 9:30 at Town Hall. Peg Hereth MEET YOUR NEW NEIGHBORS We have found "the house that came in four pieces." Yes, Theresa and Timothy Poor, at the end of August, moved into their new modular home at 157 Oakleaf Drive. It is absolutely lovely and large. They have two daughters, Lauren, 10 and Diane, 7, who attend St. Egbert's School. The Poors moved here from Mahwah, NJ, where Tim was a licensed plumber in business for himself He has opened a plumbing business here - Adantic Coastal Plumbing on the Causeway. Theresa is a Registered Nurse and was Supervisor of Nursing for the Veterans Administration. She worked at the Paramus NJ Nursing Home. Tim doesn't have time for hobbies as yet and Theresa enjoys crafts but here she is doing office work for her husband. She'd enjoy getting back into nursing sometime. She has served on the Committee for St. Egbert's Cookbook and has helped at the Seafood Festival in NJ. They have vacationed on the Outer Banks and were looking to relocate. Once they saw Pine Knoll Shores, that was it! Betty Lee Foulk Dr. Fred and Ottilia Nesbit, have moved into 183 Oakleaf Drive from Charlotte, NC. Ottilia was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay. She has a beautiful accent. Fred was born in Syracuse, NY and met Ottilia in California. Dr. Nesbit is a Psychiatrist. He had a practice in Charlotte, NC, moved to our area to a condo at Mariner's Point, Salter Path, to take up semi- retirement and found the area so much to his liking that he reopened an office at the professional court in Morehead City where he is practicing full time again. Ottilia does freelance translations for the courts wherever needed. She also works with the international division of health-planning doing computer work for them. They have two sons, one married in Charlotte and one unmarried in Adanta. Both are electrical technicians.
