WASTE IHDUSTRIES
Dallas Goodwin of Waste Industries presented residential recycling
information as it pertains to cost for the Town. He also included in
his remarks the cost of commercial recycling. The Town was praised for
its enthusiastic participation and support of the recycling mandate.
COASTAL REGIONAL SOLID WASTE MAHAGEMEHT AUTHORITY
Lori Dietz, engineer with CRSWMA, spoke about the operating life of
the Authority which is predicted to be about four and one half years,
and the closing of the county land fill. Reporting requirements will
have to be met by each municipality and county. The decision
concerning recycling was left with the counties and each municipality
and county is accountable- to the state for their recycling.
BUDGET MESSAGE
Budget Officer, Corinne Webb Geer, presented the FY 94-95 proposed
budget and message. A copy of the document is available for review by
the public at both the temporary Town Hall, next to Wachovia Bank, and
at the Bogue Banks Library.
BUDGET HEARING
Mayor Hasulak reminded citizens that the Public Hearing for the
FY94-95 Budget will be held in Town Hall, Tuesday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m.
