Published - Town Of Pine Knoll Shores In The Interest Of Its Citizens FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION Commissioner Gallo reported that ad valorem tax collection for 1993 was 100% adjusting for motor vehicle billing and collection using the new county system. The new 1994 tax bills have been printed and mailed. He also reported August revenues were $125,974, with the majority coming from an increased sales tax. Expenditures were $104,470. Investments will earn $52,888 during the year which is about two cents of the tax rate. BEACH RENOURISHMENT The Planning Board asked the Commissioners to consider asking all residents to participate in funding renourishment of our beaches on a pro rata basis by assessing oceanfront property owners, including homeowners associations. There was a lengthy discussion on the proposal. Mayor Hasulak felt more study was needed regarding the Town's legal obligation. The Commissioners voted to ask Planning Board to reconsider beach renourishment in light of the discussion at the Board of Commissioners Meeting. Planning Board Chairman Beal Marks requested Town Attorney Ken Kirkman attend the Planning Board meeting on September 28 to offer his expertise. NE KNOLL CIRCLE DEDICATION Commissioner Roderick made the motion, which passed unanimously, that Pine Knoll Circle be accepted as part of the Town road system.
