OCTOBER BOAEUD OF CCMMISSIONERS MEETING
PUBLIC HEARING
Before the November 10 Board of Commissioners meeting, there will be
a public hearing at 2:00 p.m. to consider an amendment to the 1991-1992
Land Use Plan to clarify marina construction policies and to consider
ocean setbacks from the town Zoning Ordinance.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8. The polling place is the meeting
room at Town Hall.
BEACH RENOURISHMEWT
At the request of the Beach Renourishment Committee, and upon the
recommendation of the Planning Board, Commissioners voted unanimously at
the October meeting to apply for a major CAMA permit for beach pushing.
WATER SERVICE COMMITTER
At the request of Commissioner Gallo, the Board of Commissioners voted
to authorize the Water Committee to engage an engineer to investigate the
condition and value of the water service and make recommendations of
possible alternatives for water service. The committee has met with
officials from the Towns of Atlantic Beach and River Bend, and the Bogue
Banks Water Company.
