in Library Science at East Carolina University. At one time Marty had been sta tioned in this area and had decided this was where he wanted to make his home. They enjoy boating, golf, racquetball and just about every thing to do with the outdoors. Ginger and Abby, their two darling cocker spaniels, greet you with enthusiasm and certainly make you welcome. When asked if they had any special thoughts on Pine Knoll Shores, Charlotte said it was so peaceful here with the beautiful trees. Judy Poit Raffi Zabari just moved into 136 Beechwood Drive. Originally from Israel, Raffi lived most of his life in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Most recently he lived in Atlantic Beach. Raffi works for the Wings stores. While looking for a place to live, he found Pine Knoll Shores and liked it. He enjoys walking, tennis, swimming and boating. Judy Poit Phyllis Price moved into a tiny chalet at 107 Hawthorne Drive on the corner of Hickory Ct. Phyllis was originally from Charlotte, NC, but has lived in the area since 1979. She fell in love with the area, never wanted to leave it so she stayed. She bought the little chalet two years ago and is now in the process of remodeling it, which has turned out to be quite an undertaking. Phyllis was divorced some years ago and has been self-employed as a counselor for Human Resources for the past thirteen years for the Marine Corps at Cherry Point, Beaufort, SC and the New River Air Station. She has two daughters, Kim, married to a Marine, living in Swansboro with four children, and Stephanie, who teaches at East Carteret and is single. Phyllis enjoys scuba diving, the beach and reading. She plans to enjoy the summer and get the house all remodeled. Her newest acquisition is a six- month old puppy, part lab and part cocker, jet black, called Abbey, who loves to nibble and chew. Betty Lee Foulk In February, Joy and Dick Wray moved into their gorgeous new home at 128 White Ash Dr. They were both originally from Huntington, NY and moved here from Toledo, Ohio, where Dick was senior counsel for Owens Corning Fiberglass. Joy was a teacher. In Toledo, she got very involved in volunteer work at the Toledo Art Museum. Dick is still doing consulting work. They have four children and nine grandchildren. A son, Richard and wife, Diane, are in Perrysburg, Ohio, and have three children. Colleen, a daughter and hubby, Scott, are in Sylvania, Ohio, with three children and son, Don and wife, Heather, are in Morence, Michigan, and they also have three children. Son, Brian, is single and is working and going to college in NYC. They found this area when they visited Mary and Frank Link and George and Betty Hermann. They were all neighbors on the same block back in Wantagh, Long Island. Dick enjoys landscaping and gardening. They both enjoy tennis and are getting into golf and boating. They just bought a new party boat. Joy wants to get back into doing volunteer work at an art museum. Betty Lee Foulk
