BOGUE BANKS LIBRARY
Summer is very busy here at the
library. The summer reading program
and films for children have been
well attended. If you have children
or grandchildren who have not par
ticipated, please bring them by.
They will enjoy the programs. We
are receiving new books on tape
and, also "new to us," gift books
that have been added to the
library. So come in and enjoy.
In our display cabinets for July
and August will be a collection of
Santas made by Martha
Johnson of Emerald
Isle. This "Christmas
in July" is a treat. In
the auditorium for the
above months will be a
display of paintings by
Larry Burge - a very popular and
well known local artist. Also on
display in the library, July 7-21,
is the original artwork for the
N.C. Seafood Festival. Come in and
see this beautiful painting.

PSSTICIDS(malatbion)SPRAYim IS
PINE KNOLL SHORES,
There is growing concern among
some of our residents about the
weekly spraying for mosquitos.
These residents are concerned
that the chemical is a health
hazard,^ and people with aller
gies are suffering more.
A Petition to stop mosquito
spraying has been started by
several concerned citizens who
are affected by the spraying.
They would like to see the
mosc^ito spraying ended. The
petition is available for
signing on the bulletin board
inside the front door at Town
Hall. Brigette Turner
