They have four children: Kirby and wife Amy live in West Lafayette Ohio; daughter Nicole and husband, Bob Groves, and two children at home, Zachery, age 13, and Hillary, age 12. Chris enjoys walking, reading and the beach. Rod enjoys reading, tennis and building things with his hands. Chris's parents. Peg and Tom Heakin, lived on Sycamore Drive for a while, but they have moved back to Ohio. Betty Lee Foulk Mimi and Bob Turton moved into their lovely new home at 102 Chestnut Court late last spring. They came from Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, on the coast. Bob had been a self- employed private investigator. For the past five years he served as a claims consultant for the New Jersey JUA Goint Underwriter Association). Mimi worked in the life claims department at U.S. Life. Ten years ago their daughter, Kathy, and her husband, Len Furtner, and their three children, Joey, Missy and Kevin, moved to this area. Every year Mimi and Bob visited them, and four years ago, Mimi and Bob bought their lot at Arborvitae and Chestnut. This year their son-in-law, Len, built their home for them. Mimi and Bob have three children, Kathy and Len Furtner are in PKS. Son Tom lives in Texas, and is married to Lore. They have three sons, Jeff, Josh, and Jeremy. Daughter Nancy is married to Michael and they have Michael Jr., just two years old. Mimi loves reading and walking. Bob also is a walker. They just love the natural beauty of PKS and being so near to the beach is a plus. Having their family living in town is just frosting on their cake. We welcome them. Judy Poit Penny and Frank St. Charles moved into their sound-front home at 266 Oakleaf Drive last spring. They also own a home in Atlanta, Georgia, and travel between the two homes. They own "Christmas By The Sea," the beautiful Christmas shop on the corner of Oakleaf Drive and Salter Path Road. Frank visited here a long time ago so he knew the area. One vacation. Penny and Frank couldn't get to their original destination because of a storm, so they stayed here, and they "found" Pine Knoll Shores. Frank has one daughter who is married with three girls and one boy. Penny has two sons, one married, one single. Most of their time is spent running "Christmas By The Sea." They enjoy going to market together and become very excited about the interesting items they find there. And it is equally as exciting to return and display these items in the store. They have a boat but haven't had time to use it much this year. They play golf but haven't had time for that either. They do walk and travel whenever possible. If you were here last Christmas, maybe you saw the absolutely gorgeous Christmas tree in the PKS Town Hall. Penny and Frank generously donated that tree for the enjoyment of all of us. We certainly owe them our deepest "thanks." We welcome them. Judy Poit
