Hasulak announced his resignation effective December 31, 1996. He has served on the Board of Commissioners for seven years. He was also a volunteer fireman for many years. He leaves behind a legacy of work and dedication equal to none. His service to the town and its citizens is exemplary. We wish he and Cathy the very best in their new adventure. NEW COMMISSIONER Congratulations to Ted Goetzinger who was elected by the Board to replace David Hasulak on the Board of Commissioners effective January 1, 1997. The Board considered five candidates. Mr. Goetzinger has served as Chairman of the Board of Adjustment and we look forward to his contribution to the Board. HAZARD MITIGATION GRANTS Three projects have been submitted to the Hazard Mitigation Grants Program. They are: Retrofitting Existing Houses in Flooded Area, Flood Mitigation and Sand Fencing, and Revegetating the Frontal Dunes. FISCAL YEAR 1996 On the following page are three graphs that depict the Revenues and Expenditures for the Town of Pine Knoll Shores. The top graph represents Revenues and Expenditures for the last ten years. The last two graphs show Revenues and Expenditures for fiscal year July 1, 1995 thru June 30, 1996.
