Shoreline Published by the Town of Pine Knoll Shores in the Interest of its Citizens Town Hall 247-4353 April 1997 Fire and Rescue 911 f There's no time like in l^ine l^ncll Shcres MARCH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING PUBLIC HEARING A public hearing was held prior to the Town Board meeting on March 11, 1997, to consider changes and additions to the Town Code of Ordinances regarding dry stack storage for boats, street lighting in new subdivisions and a Stormwater Management Plan for new subdivision development. After listening to comments from several citizens, the Board voted against the street lighting in new subdivisions. It was decided a study of all street lighting in Town should be done. The ordinances on dry stack storage for boats and the Stormwater Management Plan for new subdivision development were approved unanimously. DUNE RESTORATION The FEMA approved Dune Restoration of 4200 linear feet in front of Atlantis Lodge and Pine Knoll Townes has been completed. The Town will be reimbursed for the cost of this project. STORM CLEANUP Two contracts were approved for future storm cleanups, Youngblood Construction Company and Willis Construction and Grading. ARTIFACTS/BLACKBEARD'S FLAGSHIP The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to support a Resolution displaying the Blackbeard artifacts in a permanent home in the N.C. Maritime Museum in Beaufort.
