Welcome New Residents Milton and Janis Sharp have bought the house at 236 Oakleaf. Jan was born in Shreveport, LA, but lived most of her life in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from Baylor as a Business Major and later returned for a Master's in Music. Jan taught music at the Calvary Baptist School in Winston. Then she taught at a public school. Milt was raised in Stephensville, TX, and surrounding areas. He attended Texas A&M, then went into the Air Force for 10 years. He then became a pilot for Braniff; when it broke up he went with Piedmont Airlines and flew international flights to Europe and South America. They love traveling and have been all over the world except Australia and New Zealand and that will be an upcoming trip in the near future. They also owned four travel agencies and a duplex in Emerald Isle. While with Piedmont, they lived in Mocksville, NC, outside Winston Salem on a farm they bought that was originally owned by Daniel Boone's father. They have 4 children, Susan married Russell Akers; they have a son, Mark, 5. Elizabeth, married Kyle Swicegood; they have Ashton, 5 and Lewis, 3. Christine married John Milton III and they are expecting a child in January. Then, Scott who is single and lives in Kansas, They belong to Bogue Banks Baptist Church, Atlantic Beach, where they are totally involved. She handles the children's choir, sings in the choir and fills in playing instruments. She also gives music lessons. They enjoy skiing. They have a 35 foot C&C sailboat and a 21 foot Grady White. They love to snorkel and boat. They have now tackled stained glass. Milt loves the computer and delves in stocks. He'd love to get a small group together like a coffee club to start a financial investors' group to haggle over stocks together. Any takers? Call! submitted by: Betty Lee Foulk. Norman and Irene Beattie just moved into their lovely new home at 106 West Olive Court. Most recently they lived in Washington, Missouri. Prior to that they lived in Wilmington, Delaware. Norman and Irene were brought up in Glasgow, Scotland. They emigrated to Canada and lived in Montreal for 10 years. Norman's mother still lives in Montreal. Norman is an environmental engineer with Foster Wheeler Environmental. Currently he is on vacation awaiting his next assignment. Irene is a registered nurse. She worked in labor and delivery for 18 years. Their friends, the Walters, on Mimosa Boulevard, invited them to visit PKS about seven years ago. Irene said she knew immediately that this is where she wanted to live. They bought a lot in 1994 and finally their dream home was finished late in July.
