Team 12 is leading the way. They are Marilyn
Smetana, Reese Musgrave, Lilly Zaminer and
Art Stone. They are ahead of the field by two
points and hope to hold on to their lead. Want
some good fun, sign on as a sub and join us at
the alleys.

Guidelines for Minimizing Wildlife Conflicts
ALMOST ALL WILDLIFE CONFLICTS ARE
RELATED TO ANIMALS ATTRACTED TO
HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE, PET FOODS, BIRD
FEEDERS, OR GARDEN CROPS.
1. Feed dogs and cats on the inside of the
house if possible. If you must feed animals
outside, feed them once a day, and after the
animal has eaten, remove any excess food and
the food bowls. Food bowls should be cleaned
after each use.
2. Keep food related garbage in metal garbage
cans with tight fitting lids. This is made easier
if you separate food related garbage from
rubbish such as paper, bottles, cans, etc. If
possible, store food related garbage cans in a
metal building or enclosed carport until pick up
day. If raccoons become a problem, you
should utilize lid restraints such as chains,
hinge and latch, or bungi cords to hold the lids
on the can.
3. If you have bird feeders (seed, suet/peanut
butter, or hummingbird), hang the feeders in
trees away from your residence and not on
porches or decks. If an animal is coming to the
feeder, try removing the feeder for two weeks to
break the animal's habit. If the animal returns
after two weeks, discontinue feeding.
4. Do not pour grease outside.
5. Do not feed bread scraps, fruit or other
foods to birds,
6. Clean fruit residue from under fruit bearing
trees.
7. Make sure no sink drains empty to the
ground surface.
8. Maintain yards in a sanitary condition, do
not allow rubbish, wood piles, or old sheds to
accumulate on the property.
9. To discourage skunks and raccoons, treat
lawn for lawngrubs (white grubs or larvae) in
the fall.
10. Check with neighbors to insure they are
following the above guidelines.
