Welcome New Residents Mike Garner has reclaimed and renovated his old homestead at 162 Oakleaf Drive. Mike decided to move into his old home and update it, after years of being used as a rental home. Mike is a contractor and developer. His company is The Garner Group, Inc., and has built many homes in Pine Knoll Shores. Mike isn't married, he has a son, Travis, who is a senior at the College of Charleston, SC, and a daughter, Tisha who is a graduate of UNC and is employed by Sprint, and lives in Atlantic Beach. Mike is an avid sports fisherman. He owns a custom built 27' Downeaster. He took third place in the Marlin Tournament and it's a beauty mounted on his office wall. He also enjoys golf when he has time. Mike is very proud of Pine Knoll Shores history and proud to be a part of its history. They belong to the yacht club in Wilmington, NC, and often boat down there or to Hilton Head. They lived in New Bern, at River Bend, for a year searching up and down the North Carolina coast for just the spot for a retirement home.
