the Art Gallery was experienced by many
residents and visitors on Sunday, May 3, at the
Bogue Banks Public Library. Also present at
the reception were officers and members of the
Friends of Bogue Banks Branch Library,
representatives of the Carteret County Public
Library, and the artists whose works are on

New Books at Bogue Banks:
Nicholas Sparks, author of the well-
received "Notebook/' has a new book out,
"Message in a Bottle." A divorced woman
finds a seaborne bottle, a mysterious letter, and
eventually love. Author Michael Palmer has a
winner in "Miracle Cure," the story of a deadly
conspiracy uncovered by a cardiologist whose
initial goal is to find the facts about a miracle
drug. Two mystery, mayhem, and murder
writers are pleasing their reading public with
new books. Anne Perry who sets most of her
stories in Victorian England selects Brunswick
Gardens as the environment for her newest
novel. Secrets of aristocratic families are
uncovered when a young man of teenage years
is found murdered in the sewers beneath the
streets. The tutor of the young aristocrat is
charged with the murder, but Inspector Pitt and
Charlotte, his wife and helpmate in solving
crimes, are not satisfied. The plot thickens.
Mary Higgins Clark's newest offering is “You
Belong to Me." It is a certainty that there will
be a reserve list on this one.
