JUNE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING
PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing was held on June 9, 1998 to consider the Town's acquisition of a
strip of land on the western side of McNeil Inlet 10 fee wide from McNeil Inlet Bridge to Bogue
Sound. Comments were heard from the audience and will be taken into consideration by the
Board of Commissioners.
FY1998-99 BUDGET APPROVED
Following the Public Hearing, the Board of Commissioners unanimously voted
to adopt the 1998-99 Budget. The budget for FY 1998-99 is $ 1,588,101.
WATER COMMISSION SELECTED
Three were selected from the eight applicants, to serve as Water Commissioners for the
proposed Town Water System. They are Dan Ericksen, Ed Pawlak, and Roger Middlesteadt.
ORDINANCE APPROVALS
Two ordinances passed witJi unanimous votes by the Board of Commissioners; one to
regulate malfunctioning fire alarms and another standardizing penalties for violation of the
Town of Pine Knoll Shores Municipal Code.
