Hurricane Season is rapidly- approaching. he long awaited installation of the Town's own water system has finally arrived. The construction of the new water system will be done in three stages. - The Town will install water lines along Dogwood Circle first. These lines will not have water delivered to them until Stage 2 construction is started. - New water lines will be installed along Hwy.58 (Salter Path Road) from the eastern city limits to the western end of Town. Only the structures that face Highway 58 or are located on the south side of Highway 58 will be connected to the new water system. Water will be delivered to users as sections of this phase are completed. At this time, Dogwood Circle users will receive their water. - The remainder of all Pine Knoll Shores residences will be installed after the completion of Stage 2. he Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to extend the oceanfront pruning moratorium for one year. This is being done on the recommendation of several experts to protect vegetation and guard against erosion. This moratorium affects all pruning, cutting and trimming on the oceanfront south of the principal structure. Anyone doing pruning without a permit could be penalized.
