Three Pine Knoll Shores Commissioner's terms expire this year.
The filing period for anyone interested in running for Commissioner
begins July 2 and will end August 6.
Commissioner's stipend will be $100 per month beginning with new term.
Be sure you are registered to vote.

Public Hearing
There will be a public hearing on August 10, 1999, at 2:00 prior to the
regular scheduled Board meeting. The public hearing addresses re
codification of Town Ordinances Including Zoning and the second item to be
addressed Is a proposed Telecommunication Tower Ordinance.
Additional Insurance
The Board voted to purchase extra Insurance coverage for Fire and
Rescue volunteers which will cover areas that worker's compensation
would not cover.
Guardrails at McNeil Iniet Bridge
Board members decided against putting guardrails on either end of the
McNeil Inlet Bridge. A grant is being applied for to replace the bridge
in the next few years and the problem will be resolved at that time.
New Alternate on the CAC
Gordon "Hoot" Gibson was selected to fill a vacant position as an
alternate member to the Community Appearance Commission.
