December Board of Commissioners Meeting
FY1998-99
The Town Auditor, G. Lee Carroll, CPA gave a brief synopsis of the Comprehensive Financial Report
for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999. He commented that the Board was prudent and wise in
decisions of how to spend Town money.
Dedication of Street
Fairways Association dedicated Fairways Court to the Town for the purpose of converting Fairways
Court into a municipal street. The Town accepted the offer of dedication and agrees to maintain
Fairways Court as a municipal street.

The list of transportation priorities identified by the Carteret County Transportation Committee for
inclusion in the 2002-2008 Transportation Improvement Program is supported by the Town of Pine
Knoll Shores.
Mary Kanyha stepped down from office after eight years of service to the Town. Mayor Musgrave
expressed the Town's appreciation for the diligence and detail to her position as Commissioner of
Streets and Public Property. Mary was presented with a gavel and stand that was engraved with dates
served as Commissioner and as Mayor.
Oaths of Office
Oaths of office were administered to new Commissioner Carl Heffelfinger and re-elected
Commissioners, Emily White and Reese Musgrave. Reese Musgrave was re-elected by the Board to
serve as Mayor and Bob Gallo was re-elected by the Board to serve as Mayor Pro-tem. Oaths of Office
were administered to the Mayor and Mayor Pro-tem.
Department Head Assignments
Mayor Musgrave announced Department Head assignments - Robert Gallo, Commissioner of Finance
and Administration - Ted Goetzinger, Commissioner of Police and Emergency Medical Services - Carl
Heffelfinger, Commissioner of Streets and Public Property - Emily White, Commissioner of Fire and
Emergency Management - Wade Lamson, Commissioner of Planning and Inspections.
