Published by the Town of Pine Knoll Shores in the Interest of its Citizens Town Hall 247-4353 April, 2000 Fire and Rescue 911 Pine Knoll Shores Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. at Town Hall. The public hearing will be to discuss the FY99-00 Shoreline Access/Recreation Plan. Following the public hearing, the Board will consider approval of the plan. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. March Board of Commissioners Meeting Cellular Antenna The Board of Commissioners voted to approve an application by Triton PCS to co-locate a cellular antenna on the water tower on Roosevelt Boulevard. Town Hall Steps The steps at the entrance of town hall have been slowly deteriorating and consequently will be replaced in the near future. Emergency Generator The Board decided that an emergency generator should be purchased in the near future. The generator should be large enough to take care of all Town Hall needs in the event of an emergency. Rolling Radar Unit PKS Police Department in a joint venture with Atlantic Beach Police Department has applied for a grant to purchase a rolling radar unit, which will be used at different times by both Towns. These are the units that tell the speed your vehicle is traveling when you drive by them. Water Hearing There was a hearing regarding the Pine Knoll Shores water project on March a decision will be forthcoming shortly.
