Page 2 The Shoreline May, 2000 WHAT COLOR IS YOUR REENTRY PASS? Possibly a better question is do you lnow where your reentry pass is? Two types of passes are issued, BLUE for property owners wliicii generally are honored at the Atlantic Beach bridge once the roads have been cleared of power lines and trees. Please note, it is very possible that a curfew may still be in effect. Blue passes may be obtained at Towr Hall during normal business hours up to eight hours of a declared emergency. If you are a nev\ resident, you may obtain your pass by presenting identification such as a drivers license with a power/water bill. If you can't find your pass yoL may apply for a duplicate, there is a fee however. PLEASE NOTE ONLY ONE PASS IS ISSUED PER ADDRESS. During this early entry time we must limit the number of cars as we will still be working on clearing debris and doing damage assessments. Orange passes are issued by the Director of Emergency Management to a very limited number of people who have agreed to volunteer their services to get the Town up and running as well as essential personnel. (Fire dept, etc.) In many cases these people are allowed entry wher power lines and trees are across the roads. II you hold an orange pass, you are expected tc check your property and then either call in or come into Town Hall to be assigned a task. Ir^ the next couple of weeks you will receive a letter asking you to commit to a task. If your situatior has changed and you can no longer work after e storm, please return your orange pass to Town Hall. NOTE, you must call in and accept your assignment in order to maintain your orange pass. Next issue we will discuss ways you can get entr\ information after the storm Submitted by Dick Stevens Dir. of Emergency Management 240-2041 Planning Board Topics of discussion included: 1.
