January Board of Commissioners Meeting
Public Information Meetings Scheduled
Two public information meetings on the Pine Knoll Shores Beach Nourishment Project are scheduled.
The first information meeting will be prior to the Town Board meeting on Tuesday, February 13, 2001,
at 2:00 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room. The second public information meeting will be on
Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room.
Resolutions
1. The Board of Commissioners passed a resolution accepting the final codification of the Town
Ordinances,
2. The Board passed a bond order authorizing $8,000,000 Beach Improvement Bonds.
3. The Board passed a resolution calling a Special Bond Referendum to be held between 6:30 a.m.
and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2001, for $8,0000,000 Beach Improvement Bonds.
4. The Board also passed a resolution recognizing Andy Turney for his service to the Town.
Ordinance Amendment
The Board voted to amend the Town Ordinance Chapter 18-1.9 regarding regulation of signs in
commercial zones.
