Oakleaf Drive Bridge
Edward Wetherill, Wetherill Engineering made a presentation during the public hearing on the
replacement of the Oakleaf Drive Bridge. He informed citizens that curb & gutter would be used
eliminating the necessity of guardrails, the line of sight approaching the bridge would be much
improved, and sidewalks would be on both sides of the bridge. The actual design should be
completed by March 2002 with construction to begin approximately May 2002. The bridge will be
prefabricated, which will speed up the process. It will take approximately a year to complete
construction. Mr. Wetherill answered questions and asked for written comments to be submitted within
the next 10 days.
