Richard is originally from Hartsdale, Westchester County, NY and Linda is from Connecticut. They both went to Duke University, Richard getting a degree in Forestry and Linda getting a degree in Nursing. They spent two interesting years in Africa where Richard was conducting a rural economics survey. Linda was employed as an embassy nurse during that time. Returning to the US, Richard worked for Procter and Gamble for a while and they lived in Pennsylvania. Linda worked in public health until the birth of their first son. They became permanent residents of North Carolina in 1973 living in Washington, NC. Richard has a business with the corporate office in Rocky Mount, NC, processing sawmill waste into mulch. Both sons work in the family business. Richard's mom, Nellie Seale, and his dad, Winston, now deceased, visited Richard and Linda in Washington, NC, as they were looking for a place to retire. They drove down to the beach and Nellie and Winston bought a piece of property at the end of Beechwood Drive, right on the canal. Nellie is still living in the home that she and Winston had built on the property. Richard's aunt, Nellie's sister, Astrid Norman, also lives in PKS. Recently Richard's cousin Bill, and his wife, Kathy, moved to PKS. Linda and Richard have two sons; Eric, married to Michele, living in Rocky Mount, NC, and Roger, married to Dionne, living in Nashville, NC, near Rocky Mount. Roger and Dionne have a daughter 21 months old named Lauren and in January they will have a second daughter. Richard loves hunting, fishing and walking the beach. His hobby is "Trains." He has a large room in the house that will be dedicated to his collection of trains. He and Linda have traveled all over on almost any train you can imagine. They have been members of the Bogue Banks Country Club for the past two years but they are just starting to play golf. submitted by Judy Poit ///////////////////////m////////////////////////////////////////////////////////m////////m//mmmmMmimmfMM Using the Online Public Access Catalog, patrons can now search for an item, request an item from another library and locate an item in the library.
