Fire/EMS Dept, meets the 2nd Monday at 7:00 p.m.
BOC Meeting & Public Hearing - Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at
Town Hall - There will be a Public Hearing regarding an amendment to the town
ordinance in regard to beach front pruning.
CAC Meeting - Wednesday, October 16, 2002, 9:00 a.m.
PB Meeting - Tuesday, October 22, 2002 - 3:00 p.m.
BOA MEETING - The Board of Adjustment will meet on Tuesday, October 29,
2002 at 9:30 a.m. at town hall concerning an appeal by Bogue Banks Country
Club for a variance regarding height restrictions.
PLEASE BE ADVISED - Residents with preexisting medical conditions should
seek shelter off the island early in the hurricane evacuation process. Should you
need assistance, please contact Pine Knoll Shores Fire/EMS Department
contact person "Linda Brickhouse" at "247-4353 ext. 20" prior to an evacuation
order. **Time to make sure you can locate your hurricane re-entry permit. If a
permanent re-entry permit was previously issued a replacement will cost $20.
Re-entry permits can be obtained at Town Hall, but don't wait until the last
minute. No permits will be issued once the evacuation order is given. Proof of
residence is required.**
***PLEASE BE ADVISED***Waste Industries will collect large bulk items on
Friday, October 25, 2002 such as: (furniture, mattresses, large appliances, small
appliances, empty lawn mowers, construction and demolition material 4' or less
and not over 50 lbs. and other small loose items placed in a box, bag, or bundle)
Large appliances will be picked up by a separate truck the same day.
