BOC Meeting & Public Hearing - Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at
Town Hall - There wW be a Public Hearing regarding an amendment to the town
ordinance in regard to pet house dimensions. Annual Christmas Open House
directly following the Board Meeting.
CAC Meeting - Wednesday, November 20, 2002, 9:00 a.m.
PB Meeting - The November and December meeting will be combined -
Tuesday, December 3, 2002 - 3:00 p.m.
BOA MEETING - The Board of Adjustment will meet on the 1st Tuesday of the
month at 9:30 a.m. as necessary.
NOVEMBER BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS REGULAR MEETING AND
WORK SESSION (Updated 11-15-02) ‘ There was a public hearing on an
ordinance amending beach front pruning provisions. During the regular meeting
the following ordinance was approved. Section 21-3(e)(10)captioned
"Landscape Permit: When Required" (d) As to beach front vegetation, such
pruning shall only be permitted following application to the Town. Applications
will only be considered during the months of November, December, and
January. The application shall describe the extent of the pruning desired and
shall be accompanied by a pruning plan from a certified professional as
approved by the Tree Board which states that the pruning desired will not result
in damage or death to the vegetation pruned. Each application will be
considered by the Town on its individual merit and professed need for pruning.
Once pruning has been approved by the Town, the pruning will be supervised by
the certified professional and a Tree Board Member or the Building Inspector.
For purposes of this section, beach front shall be defined as the line across the
south side of an existing ocean front structure from property line to property line
extending to the high water mark of the Atlantic Ocean. ‘ Bids for the Public
