Page 12 The Shoreline January 2009 Aquarium Fishing School To Be Held March 14 The third annual "Get Hooked" Fishing School on March 14 at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores covers all the angles. Experienced anglers conduct presentations on all aspects of the sport. Sessions include Jimmy Price on inshore flounder fishing; Dean Lamont on fly Ashing; Dr. Bogus on pier and surf fishing; Jeff McBane on fishing the Crystal Coast; Joe Malat on reading the beach; Bryan Goodwin on inshore drum fishing; Jeff Cronk on inshore trout fishing; and Eddie Cameron on offshore king mackerel fishing. Registration for the day-long course began January 2. The registration fee before February 20 is $40; after that $50. North Carolina Aquarium Society members receive a 10 percent discount. The inaugural event last year raised $700 for the Hope for the Warriors organization, a group at Camp Lejeune whose members have dedicated themselves to the mission of making sure the sacrifices of woimded servicemen and their families are not Town Manager Brian Kramer, who is helping RAC members spearhead the effort, feels 40 slots could be filled easily and is moving to make sure kayaking enthusiasts in Pine Knoll Shores are aware of the opportunity and are in a position to take advantage of it.
