Garden Club

The November business meeting of the Pine Knoll
Shores' Garden Club was held an hour earlier than
usual because of a conflict with the town's dedication
of Veterans' Park scheduled for 11 a.m.
Cherie Range, who is Garden Club coordinator for
the town's Christmas parade to be held on December
5, reviewed plans to decorate the McGibbon's truck
on the day before and possibly also a golf cart.
The hospitality committee for the Christmas
Ivmcheon to be held at President Carol McVitty's
home made plans to discuss the menu and other
responsibilities.
The birdhouse competition to be held in early
March was also discussed during the business
meeting.
Second Vice-President Helvi Larson reminded the
members that the Arbor Day ceremony would be
held on March 19 at Gamer Park.
The Tree City Fair to be held in April received a lot
of discussion, and because of time constraints, this
discussion will continue at the next meeting.
The sharing program of using greens for decorations
was conducted after the business meeting was
adjourned. Jan Corsello demonstrated a container
with a number of items collected from her yard, and
Donna Belanger demonstrated how to make bows.
